Several months ago, Amber Benson surprised fans by doing the unthinkable: posting pictures of her current partner and declaring her love publicly on Instagram!
In the caption, the actress admitted that while she’s “usually a very private person,” she felt the need to express her love to her partner, Mike Sawitzke.
“He keeps me sane and makes me laugh every day,” she shared. “I just adore this guy and am so very very proud of him!” Amber concluded.
Mike is a musician, podcaster, and producer. He has a podcast named Slayers: A Buffyverse Story. Also, according to Amber, Mike is “an incredible human and one heck of a support system.”
How Long Did Amber Benson Date Adam Busch?
Shortly after Buffy the Vampire Slayer concluded in 2002, Amber Benson reportedly started going out with former castmate Adam Busch.
The couple were together for seven years and even went on to direct the 2010 movie Drones post-breakup.
Their real-life romance shocked fans, considering that Amber and Adam didn’t portray on-screen love interests and Adam was even the one who (spoiler alert!) killed Amber!
However, it seems like the former couple didn’t enjoy fans’ concern, as in a press conference for Drones, Adam reportedly told the interviewer to “move on” after he was asked about the effect of being Tara and Warren in their real-life relationship.
