Miranda Cosgrove used to be every child’s sweetheart in the early 2000s, and now she has made everyone return to their childhood crush thanks to the iCarly reboot!

Her role as the titular in iCarly proved to be the audience’s favorite and made her the highest-paid child actress, courtesy of the 2012 Guinness World Records.

Miranda also got a nomination for an Emmy Award for Mission Unstoppable with Miranda Cosgrove in 2020.

Miranda Cosgrove’s Career Started as A Child Actress

Miranda Cosgrove made her first appearance on TV in the pilot episode of Smallville, voicing the young version of its character, Lana Lang.

She later made her debut in the movie two years later with the 2003 comedy School of Rock. The film became a critical and commercial success, grossing over $130 million worldwide.

Miranda began her professional relationship with Nickelodeon in 2004 as she was being cast in the series Drake & Josh. She also starred in the movie Here Comes Peter Cottontail: The Movie a year later.

She appeared in several series by Nickelodeon, such as Zoey 101 and Unfabulous. Miranda eventually got her own series entitled iCarly in 2007. The series replaced the previously well-loved series Drake & Josh, in which Miranda was also cast in.

Besides acting, Miranda is also known for her singing career. She debuted by singing the theme song for her series iCarly, entitled Leave It All to Me. She was also featured in four songs in the album iCarly: Music from and Inspired by the Hit TV Show. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard Kid Albums.

Miranda also sang the cover of Christmas Wrapping in 2008 to promote the special episode of Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh. In 2009, Miranda released a promotional single for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs entitled Raining Sunshine. In the same year, Miranda won the Female Pop Rookies Award from MTV.

In 2010, Miranda lent her voice to the animation character Margo in the box-office hit Despicable Me. Later that year, she released her first album, Sparks Fly. It charted at number 8 on the Billboard 200.

A year later, Miranda Cosgrove released her next EP entitled High Maintenance. Its title song, Dancing Crazy, debuted at number 40 on the Billboard Adult Pop Songs.

Miranda embarked on her first North American tour, the Dancing Crazy Tour, in 2011. The tour later continued in the summer with a new name, the Dancing Crazy Summer Tour.

In 2012, Miranda released her second soundtrack album for iCarly to mark the series finale, iCarly: iSoundtrack II. Following the conclusion of the series, Miranda continued her summer tour.

Miranda reprised her role as Margo in both sequels of Despicable Me in 2013 and 2017. Two years later, she hosted Mission Unstoppable. This show earned Miranda her first Emmy nomination. Miranda also starred in a Netflix movie, 3022, in the same year.

In 2021, Miranda participated in the iCarly reboot to reprise her role and serve as an executive producer. Critics highly praised the reboot project. She secured a spot in Forbes’s 30 Under 30 list in 2022.
